Carpenter & Scenic Painter

As a scenic carpenter and painter on SCAD’s Shakespeare in Love, I supported the build, finish and strike of the production. I assisted in constructing and installing the two-level set, including the balcony, paneled walls and multi-use furniture designed for quick transitions, with an emphasis on detailed joinery.
My scenic painting focused on creating a cohesive aged environment. I hand-painted floor treatments to mimic wood plank flooring and worked across trim, paneling and laser-cut details, using layered finishes to achieve a worn period look. I also treated furniture and soft goods to maintain visual consistency across the stage.
